Getting there & staying
The Abbott Mansion is nestled in the beautiful Blue Ridge foothills of North Georgia. We recommend staying in nearby Helen, GA — a charming Bavarian-style mountain town about 15 minutes from the venue.
We have a room block reserved at the Hampton Inn in Helen for our wedding guests. Book early to secure your spot at our group rate!
Helen and the surrounding North Georgia mountains offer wonderful Airbnb options — a great way to experience the area and share costs with family or friends.

What is the dress code?
Cocktail attire — think suits and elegant long dresses. We want you to look and feel your best!
How do I get to the venue?
The nearest airport is Atlanta (ATL), approximately a 90-minute drive from the venue. We recommend renting a car for the most flexibility getting around Cleveland and Helen.
Is there parking at the venue?
Yes, parking is available at The Abbott Mansion. Uber is also available in the area, though more limited given it is a rural area. We are exploring additional guest transportation options for the evening and will share updates here if plans are confirmed.
Where will the ceremony take place?
Weather permitting, the ceremony will be held outdoors. The cocktail hour and reception will be indoors or under cover — so guests will be comfortable regardless of the weather.
Is the Welcome Party open to all guests?
Yes! The Welcome Party on Saturday evening is open to all wedding guests. We can't wait to kick off the celebration together the night before.
Is this an adults-only event?
Yes — our wedding is an adults-only celebration. We appreciate your understanding and hope this gives everyone a chance to let loose and enjoy the evening!
Where should we stay?
We recommend booking accommodations as soon as possible — the area fills up quickly! We have a room block at the Hampton Inn Helen. For larger groups, there are also many wonderful Airbnbs near the venue. See our Travel & Hotels section for more details.
What's the weather like in late May?
Late May in the North Georgia mountains is typically warm and beautiful — expect temperatures in the mid-70s to low 80s°F. Evenings can be slightly cooler, so a light layer may be nice to have on hand.
